FreshAIR made its global debut in Fall 2025 at Aesthetics 2025, a pioneering conference hosted by the ETH Zürich Social Brain Sciences Lab at Monte Verità in Ascona, Switzerland. This unique program focused on Arts Engagement and Aesthetic Experience: Bridging the Gap between Arts and Science.
As the boundaries between artistic practice and scientific inquiry continue to blur, it is becoming increasingly vital for researchers, artists, and educators to engage in meaningful dialogue across these traditionally separate domains. The aim of this conference was to bring together visual and performance artists, art educators, psychologists, and cognitive neuroscientists to explore cutting-edge research findings, theoretical advancements, and methodological innovations in aesthetic experience.
